2AM's Jo Kwon made a candid revelation about his romantic life during his appearance on the SBS entertainment program 'Strong Heart VS', which aired on April 16 KST.
Known for his ballad sensibility since debuting, Jo Kwon shared details of his dating history for the first time, stating, "It's impossible for me not to have been in a relationship by now."
Delving deeper, Jo Kwon confessed, "I was involved with one person for a long time, and I truly believe I loved them. I felt a strong sense of connection with this person. However, if they had asked me to lead a normal life instead of pursuing a career in music, I believe I would have obliged."
Jo Kwon's former partner, identified as a non-celebrity, left a significant impact on him. Reflecting on their relationship, Jo Kwon remarked, "Love influenced my music profoundly. The songs I recorded during and after falling in love differ significantly from those of my debut days."
Recalling the aftermath of their breakup, Jo Kwon revealed, "During our separation, I wrote daily letters expressing my feelings. I even sent tickets to a concert, hoping to rekindle our connection, but they were returned."
Despite his efforts, Jo Kwon sensed the inevitable end. "I visited their neighborhood one day, only to realize that their feelings had cooled off. It was a heartbreaking moment, but I accepted the reality of our situation," he said.
Responding to questions about marriage, Jo Kwon admitted his desire to wed his former partner. He recounted a bold move he made to salvage their relationship, even traveling to the US on a travel visa to reconcile.
