Influencer Jo Mi Young, who was recently embroiled in dating rumors with Seventeen's Joshua, continues to suffer from malicious comments online.
On December 12, Jo Mi Young posted photos on her Instagram with the caption, "This year, I happily spent time with friends at a wonderful place...Thank you, everyone, for your birthday wishes!!"
In the photos, the influencer is seen posing in front of a cake with a big smile. However, there were a handful of netizens who left comments such as, "Joshua's not smiling this year," "Are you trying to tell us you're in Japan because your boyfriend isn't with you when blowing out your candles? You would've been in Japan with him if you weren't caught right?" "Did you break up? and didn't come to the concert?" "Attention seeker," and more.
In August, speculation arose about Seventeen's Joshua being romantically involved with an influencer. Fans drew connections when they noticed the idol and the influencer sharing identical items. The rumors gained momentum, with many suspecting the influencer in question to be Jo Mi Young, a former contestant on a dating reality show.
Since the initial rumors, Joshua and Jo Mi Young have faced much backlash and criticism from fans. Some fans demanded that Joshua depart from the group, sending protest trucks to Pledis Entertainment.
However, Pledis Entertainment neither confirmed nor denied these rumors and did not release any official statement on the matter.
Your life has to really suck to send a protest truck because an artist who will never know who you are is dating and if you down vote this comment your that person.
