With the growing popularity of K-pop idols, there have been growing concerns for their safety as fans gather in different public locations, such as airports, to get a glimpse of their beloved idol.
These fans sometimes cause blockages as they crowd around the idol, making traveling difficult for these artists. Therefore, security guards are allocated to ensure these popular K-pop idols can escape the crowd safely.
However, there has been a constant discussion about whether these security guards can exert excessive force against the fans. In a recent controversy that arose, BOYNEXTDOOR's bodyguard was seen violently pushing a fan onto the floor.
In contrast to this, NCT's Jaehyun is receiving praise as one fan revealed a video showing the idol stopping his security guard from pushing his fans.
The fan shared a short video where Jaehyun waved his hands to tell the security guard to stop pushing. The fan who created the online community post also shared, "When the bodyguard was going to push the fan, Jaehyun waved his hands and also said 'Don't push' at the same time. He also greeted fans constantly." The poster added, "In the past, Jaehyun also immediately reached his hand out when he saw a fan fall."
Other netizens joined the online community post and commented, "There was a video when he was in Apgujeong, and there was a foreign fan who had no manners or was a Sasaeng fan who was being rude. He spoke in English to them and was so freakin polite to them. I think good manners are ingrained in him," "He always accepts fan letters at the airport," "This compares so much to BOYNEXTDOOR security guard," "His face is so good looking and his actions are so gentle," "I wasn't a fan before but I'm his fan watching this video," and "Faith in humanity restored through him. I didn't like NCT because of NCTzens but I like him," and "There are so many idols who don't care whether their security guards push their fans or not, but he stops his bodyguard, which is so nice."
One day the security isn’t going to be hard on these fans and something bad will happen. Then fans will be upset at security for not doing their job. No one wins.
