The remaining BTS members, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, have decided to enlist in their mandatory military service together to ensure that the the group can make a full comeback in 2025.
On December 5, Big Hit Music released an official statement giving an update on the four member's military enlistment. The label explained, "RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook will fulfill their required time with the military by enlisting in the army. RM and V will be enlisting according to their respective procedures, while Jimin and Jung Kook are scheduled to enlist together. Please note that there will be no official event on the day of their entry."
Big Hit Music advised fans to refrain from visiting the entrance ceremony, reserved only for military personnel and members' families.
Meanwhile, Jin, J-Hope, and SUGA are currently in the process of fulfilling their mandatory service obligations. Jin, the eldest member of BTS, enlisted in December 2021, and J-Hope enlisted last April. SUGA has been performing alternative military service as a social worker since last September. Jin is scheduled to be discharged in June next year.
