Police have released a statement after former IZ*ONE member Kang Hye Won was caught up in drug controversy rumors.
According to the Incheon Police on October 26, the police department found the reports that Kang Hye Won was undergoing investigations were false. They stated, "We are the Incheon Police Drug Investigation Department informing you. Gyeonggi I-News 24 reported [removed] from IZ*ONE is currently being investigated by us. We're informing you the reports are false. She was never under investigation by us."
The rumors stem from a post on the online community DC Inside that alleged Kang Hye Won was involved in G-Dragon's recent drug controversy. Another post on the community, which has been debunked by police, also stated a girl group member was being investigated, leading to (G)I-DLE's Soyeon and LE SSERAFIM's Kim Chaewon also getting caught up in rumors that have been proven false.

I don't know how anyone can just sit and decide to ruin someone's life. Do you know how many people might see the first rumor and never see the news of it being debunked and just go and assume she's a drug user. Confirm information before you speak. Don't ruin others life cause you're bored.
