Actor Cho Jin Woong is slated to replace Lee Sun Gyun in the upcoming conspiracy thriller drama, 'No Way Out' following the latter's withdrawal due to his involvement in a drug-related probe. Saram Entertainment confirmed that Cho Jin Woong is currently contemplating the possibility of appearing in the drama.
'No Way Out', is a high-stakes drama centered around a notoriously violent criminal who, after being freed from prison, finds himself with a whopping bounty of 20 million won (approximately $14.8 million) on his head. Lee Sun Gyun was originally scheduled to portray a high-ranking police officer whose mission is to safeguard the criminal from bounty hunters, but was relieved from the role when news about his implication in a drug investigation surfaced.
Lee Sun Gyun was also set to appear in the second season of the drama, 'Dr. Brain'. However, whether he will be replaced in 'Dr Brain' remains unconfirmed, given his current legal predicaments.
Cho Jin Woong's potential pivot to the role will be seen as a significant change in his career trajectory. His fans are eagerly waiting for the confirmation of his appearance in 'No Way Out' as it would be a new exciting phase of his acting career.
