Barun, the prominent law firm representing the girl group FIFTY FIFTY, recently submitted a statement to the court that is gaining significant attention.
FIFTY FIFTY filed for a provisional injunction to suspend their exclusive contract with their agency, ATTRAKT, earlier in June of this year.
All four members of FIFTY FIFTY (Saena, Keena, Aran, Sio) claimed that ATTRAKT had breached their contract. The girls claimed that various issues with the agency, such as non-transparent settlements and unilateral attempts to enforce contracts despite health conditions, prompted this action.
In the latest development, a legal confrontation has been brought to the forefront at the Seoul Central District Court, where the submitted legal opinion has garnered interest.
On August 16, Barun Law Firm formally submitted its perspective to the Seoul Central District Court, outlining its stance regarding the dispute.
The legal representation of FIFTY FIFTY articulated in the submitted opinion that the four members have no intention of engaging in negotiations or settlement talks with ATTRAKT's CEO, Jun Hong Joon.
Within the submitted opinion, it was explicitly stated, "After due consultation with the clients (FIFTY FIFTY), it was confirmed that they have no intention of returning (to ATTRAKT). They will not meet to reach an agreement. Instead, they are willing to meet if (ATTRAKT CEO) agrees to terminate the exclusive contract."
Netizens who have reviewed the content of this opinion expressed their viewpoints, offering a range of perspectives such as, "These are the girls who should be paying for damages. Are they sane? If ATTRAKT's side listens to their request, the girls are going to ask for everything like copyrights, name rights, etc," "I really wonder where they're getting their confidence," "I really don't get them," "They are really the epitome of ingrates," "Do they think the public would welcome them even after they act like this?" and "Are the members trapped somewhere without being able to use their phones or something?
They are delusional if they think that they are going to have the same success as they did with their old company. If they do somehow pull out a win with this lawsuit, no one will take them seriously. No one will want to be associated with them. They are better off, slowly, disappearing from the entertainment industry. They let their greed get to them, and now this is the consequence they are going to have to face and honestly they deserve to be blacklisted.
