Jennie has stepped down from the stage in the middle of a concert due to health issues.
On online forums, netizens voiced concerns over the BLACKPINK member's sudden exit from the stage during their concert in Melbourne on June 11. She took the stairs down in the middle of their "Lovesick Girls" performance, which left the three remaining members to complete the act.
Jennie was also absent from the soundcheck prior to the concert in order to get enough rest for the main show, as explained by Rose.
During the main event, Jennie was seen with a Band-Aid on her arm, which led fans to believe that she had received IV Therapy right before.
In the end, she made the decision to exit the stage during the last song of their third set. The other members explained to the fans and asked the crowd to chant in support for Jennie.
Later, YG Entertainment issued an official statement explaining that although Jennie wanted to finish the concert herself, they all eventually decided to take the medical expert's advice on-site so that she get enough rest. The company also asked fans for their pardon with an apology and relayed the message from Jennie that she is "sorry to all the fans and that she will try her best to recover as soon as possible."
While fans are still in the dark about her exact health concerns, some are assuming that she might have a cold due to the weather in Australia, as Jennie was seen wearing a padded jacket the day before. Other are speculating that it may be a case of food poisoning.
In related news, BLACKPINK is still scheduled to perform again in four days in Sydney.
But ofc, when in Cannes, USA, at parties, filming this trashy idol slop, etc., she's full of energy and enthusiasm. Cant stop taking mememe selfies & all. Never tired or sick. I never feel bad for popular ppl, they make conscious choices of interest and these choices speak volumes. People I feel bad for, are those voiceless, lost souls put in unfair situations, robbed of their human rights and living poor or abused. :(
