The reactions of Chinese internet users to the tragic death of AfreecaTV streamer Ahyeong have been gaining widespread attention.

On June 13, a post was created on the popular online community, 'FM Korea.' The post covered the story of the death of AfreecaTV streamer Ahyeong in Cambodia and revealed more details on the investigation of her death.

The netizen who created the post explained, "Preliminary reports from the post-mortem examination indicated that Ahyeong had suffered extensive facial injuries, with deep lacerations, burns, and bruises to such a degree that her face was unidentifiable. Furthermore, she had sustained a fracture to her neck."

The poster explained that at first, the Chinese netizens initially reacted with sadness by commenting, "Southeast Asia isn't safe. Among the countries, Cambodia is very dangerous, so you don't dare leave the hotel without a bodyguard" and "This is so sad."

However, the reactions changed when reports came out that the suspects are a Chinese couple. After the reports were made that the suspects are Chinese, the Chinese netizens commented, "There is no evidence that the suspects are Chinese," "Don't believe in the news reports," and "There are murders going on all over the world, why are they reporting on the Chinese suspects?"

Some Chinese netizens even left negative comments about the victim as well, saying, "She looks so young but she was 33? Of course, she's from the country of plastic surgeries."

Yet, it's worth noting that not all reactions were negative. Some Chinese netizens expressed their outrage and dismay, commenting, "Some Chinese people are merciless and they've become the devil," "Chinese people living in Southeast Asia aren't Chinese," "That Chinese couple probably wants to go to trial in Cambodia because they'll be sentenced to death for sure in China," and "These two Chinese people are atrocious."

Meanwhile, as per recent reports from Cambodia, a woman's remains were discovered in a pond in Phnom Penh. The body, which had been wrapped in a blanket, was found on June 6.

The initial identification of the deceased was a Korean woman in her 30s. A subsequent investigation by the local police unveiled her as BJ Ahyeong, an AfreecaTV influencer known for her Instagram following of over 250,000. It was reported that she had been visiting Cambodia for tourism purposes with an acquaintance.

Following their investigation, the local police apprehended a Chinese couple who operate a nearby hospital. They were charged with abandoning BJ Ahyeong's body. The suspects claimed that she had passed away on June 4 at their hospital due to a seizure during treatment. However, the precise cause of death is still under investigation.

Wow...who cares where they were from. She's dead and they clearly had something to do with it. Why get so defensive over their nationality? Bad people exist everywhere, I can't believe people would comment so negatively on this poor woman for something so stupid.

Why are they acting like there's no brutal killer in china lol.

but that's shocking that her body have sign of torture, i thought she died while receiving treatment and the hospital dont want to be held accountable. so they actually attack her?

Cambodia and Thailand are both famous for human trafficking and organ trafficking. My countrymens was kidnapped for force labor, he escaped but they found him.. took his organ and dump his body on the side road. This is in thailand.
