Song Il Kook, the father of triplets Daehan, Minguk, and Manse, will be returning to 'The Return of Superman' after 7 years.
KBS 2TV's 'The Return of Superman' will welcome back Song Il Kook who will be in charge of the special narration and co-ordinate with So Yoo Jin. During Song Il Kook's narration, he conveyed his hopes for a 4th child along with stories about the rapid growth of his 12-year-old triplets.
Song Il Kook received a lot of love along with the triplets Daehan, Minguk, and Manse when they appeared in 'The Return of Superman' for about two years from June 2014 to February 2016. The young triplets charmed the hearts of viewers and made them household names across Korea.
Song Il Kook shared plenty of anecdotes during his narration, revealing that Minguk was smart and resembled his mother. Song Il Kook said, “Minguk says, 'Dad has a lot of gray hair,' so I said, 'It’s because you guys are giving me grief,'” and they answered, 'That must be why grandma has a lot of gray hair.'"
When Song Il Kook met the 'Superman' family after a long time through a VCR video, he sympathized with them saying, “It's almost like I'm watching myself,” and added, “Dads aren't great with multi-tasking like moms.”
While narrating, he also subtly expressed his desire to have a daughter, saying, "I wish I had a daughter like that," as he watched Naeun's section of the show.
Song Il Kook's special narrated episode will be broadcast on April 28 at 10 PM KST.
Honestly the Song family was the best, the contraptions he had to take the triplets out were iconic and the triplets were hilarious
