On the morning of April 4 KST, all six members of MONSTA X gathered together outside of the ROK army's new recruit training center in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province.

On this day, MONSTA X's Minhyuk bid his members farewell with a shaved head, as he will be the second member of his group to begin his mandatory military service as an active duty soldier as of today. And as Minhyuk prepared to part ways with fans for a little while, MONSTA X's leader Shownu, who is set to return to fans very soon, also joined his fellow members for a meaningful time! As you can see below, MONSTA X shared a set of 6-member group photos for the first time in over a year and a half, delighting fans. 

Shownu, who enlisted as an active duty soldier in July of 2021, will officially be discharged later this month on April 21. Minhyuk, who will begin his basic training alongside his fellow new recruits on this day, is expected to be discharged from his duties by September 30, 2024.

The remaining MONSTA X members, including Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, and I.M, are expected to carry out their mandatory duties in due time. Best of luck to Minhyuk on his mandatory duties, and see you soon, Shownu!
