Actor Lee Dong Wook will be returning to his role as a gumiho in 'The Tale of a Nine Tailed Fox 1938'.

On March 28 KST, tvN's new Saturday drama 'The Tale of a Gumiho 1938' released a new teaser poster announcing the return of Lee Yeon (played by Lee Dong Wook). It raises expectations about what events await him as he's summoned to the chaotic year of 1938.

'The Tale of a Gumiho', which received great love by showing the essence of 'K-fantasy', unfolds its second story in three years. 'The Tale of a Nine Tailed Fox 1938' is a K-fantasy action drama about Lee Yeon, a nine-tailed fox who makes an emergency landing in 1938 in an era of chaos to return to the modern age. On top of the original world view that exquisitely weaves gods and native monsters, it returns with more dynamic action at a greater scale, and more colorful characters from old tales. 

In the meantime, the teaser poster shows a glimpse of Lee Yeon, captured in an unfamiliar street where darkness has fallen. The lined Japanese signboards suggest that he'll find himself in Gyeongseong in 1938. The phrase 'I and the world I belong to have all begun to twist' is displayed prominently, hinting at the direction the story will take viewers. 

tvN's 'The Tale of a Nine Tailed Fox 1938' will premiere on May 6 at 9:20 PM KST.
