It was revealed how Yoo Ah In could have habitually administered propofol without receiving any suspicion from the doctors.
MBC reported on March 2, "The police are suspecting that Yoo Ah In received propofol for simple procedures by exaggerating the pain and received sedation."
The dermatology clinic, which Yoo Ah In visited for skin treatment in 2021, explained, "Yoo Ah In received care from us. However, he requested to be sedated for only painful procedures."
It was revealed that the director of the dermatology clinic even sent messages to Yoo Ah In, telling him, "You shouldn't use too much sedatives," and "Don't move from one clinic to another."
In this regard, Yoo Ah In's representative explained, "Yoo Ah In suffers from a skin disease. He has a 'phobia of needles,' so he only requested to be put under anesthesia during treatment." However, the police already suspect that Yoo Ah In had intentionally requested sleep anesthesia.
As a result of the blood test, it was revealed that Yoo Ah In's propofol dosage and the number of times he administered them were at a near-lethal level, bringing further shock.
Yoo Ah In took 4400 ml of propofol in 2021 alone, and the number of times reached a total of 73 times. It is understood that an average of about 60 ml was administered for each visit. Usually, 15 to 20 ml is the appropriate amount to administer when performing a gastroscopy, but Yoo Ah In administered three times as much at a time.
The amount of propofol that Yoo Ah In administered each time is seen as being lethal because Michael Jackson died after receiving 50 ml of propofol continuously in the past.
In addition, as a result of the actual National Institute of Scientific Investigation's exam of Yoo Ah In's hair, it was confirmed that four types of drug substances, such as propofol, hemp, cocaine, and ketamine, were administered together. Yoo Ah In's side did not explain anything about cocaine but explained that ketamine was used for sleep anesthesia and medical purposes.
The police stated that Yoo Ah In was cooperative with the investigation and added, "We plan to summon Yoo Ah In as a suspect next week at the earliest to investigate how he took the drug and possible accomplices."
The weird thing is that the article even says he was sedated by the doctor for actual medical procedures. A lot of medical procedures, which should show on his body if he was clinic hopping. Not only that, the article says that he was being given more than 3x the amount normally needed for sedation. That's on the doctor. Even if YAI requested it, the Dr should have said no and investigated why the sedation wasn't effective at the proper dose. They keep saying "YAI administered" when it was likely a doctor that administered the sedative. YAI is lucky he didn't die while in the care of these "doctors," who don't seem to have been giving proper care. I just feel that not only YAI is culpable here. The doctors that enabled him for apparently several years are culpable too. It's possible that they were part of the reason he got addicted if they kept giving it to him and increasing the dosage.
