Girl group IVE's members Yujin, Liz and Leeseo have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19.
On January 2, IVE's agency, Starship Entertainment, released a statement on the group's official fan cafe to deliver this news to their fans. According to the statement, the members had mild sore throat symptoms so they conducted a rapid antigen test and it has been confirmed to be COVID-19. Other than Yujin, Liz and Leeseo, the other members are not showing any specific symptoms and have tested negative. The members infected will also be treated at home.
The full statement reads:
"Hello.
It's Starship Entertainment.
Our artists IVE's Yujin, Liz, and Leeseo have been confirmed for COVID-19 today (January 2).
Yujin, Liz, and Leeseo showed mild sore throat symptoms, and were tested with rapid antigen testing and were confirmed to have COVID-19.
All members except Yujin, Liz, and Leeseo have no symptoms at the moment. They have visited the hospital to conduct a rapid antigen test and were tested negative.
Yujin, Liz, and Leeseo have completed their third vaccination of the COVID-19 vaccine, and currently have no symptoms other than mild sore throat. They will be treated at home separately from the members.
We will consider the health and safety of our artists as a top priority and commit to treatment and recovery in compliance with the guidelines of the quarantine authorities.
