With so many iconic groups such as 2NE1, B2ST, 4MINUTE, MBLAQ, Girl's Generation, and more making their debuts during the early to mid-2000s, many fans may not have caught onto some of these underrated songs! This list will highlight some of this era's most underrated songs.
1. Phantom "Burning": You cannot get enough of the guitar rift in this song; with a chilling intro and an even better chorus, this song surely deserved a lot more credit than it got.
2. DALMATIAN "ER": Another great song that didn't get the spotlight it deserved, "ER" is quite the catchy tune, and the essence of hearing the ambulance sound in the back also adds a creative spin onto the title of the song!
3. NS Yoon-G "If You Love Me": Not many people may know who NS Yoon-G is, but her collaboration with Jay Park is one that is for the books. The great harmony between the vocals of NS Yoon-G and the soothing rap of Jay Park truly is great to hear from beginning to end.
4. Boyfriend "Janus": You know those songs where it's just so good the first time you listen to it, you can't help but reply again and again? "Janus" is definitely one of those songs, and it's sure to get your ears perked up within the first couple of seconds!
5. Jieun "Going Crazy": Another great collaboration that was released but didn't get the hype it deserved. "Going Crazy" is full of angst and despair. Jieun portrayed that wonderfully with her voice in this song.
6. The Rose "Sorry": It's not often that we get to see actual bands really get the spotlight in such a demanding industry like K-Pop, but if you haven't had the chance to listen to The Rose, highly recommend you do, especially "Sorry" one of the most heart-wrenching songs that have been released!
7. C-CLOWN "Far Away...Young Love": There's something about this song that's not commonly found in other K-Pop releases. What it is, I can't exactly pinpoint it. But if you haven't ever heard of C-Clown, I suggest you give them a listen; it'll be worthwhile!
What are some other underrated songs from this era of K-Pop that you would recommend?
Most of these songs are my faves from a decade ago, Dalmatian, NS Yoon-G, Jieun, C-clown I feel old hahaha Dalmatian had bops, such a shame what happened to them (but they're still lovely and engage with the few fans left ♥)
