Fall is the season for weddings! Or at least that seems like the case with the vast number of weddings announced just within this month, with actors such as Nam Goong Min announcing that he's tying the knot and star athlete Kim Yuna recently married. Here are six wedding-themed K-dramas to watch to get you into the wedding mood!
1. "Fated to Love You": An unexpected surprise that brings two fates colliding with one another, Mi Yeong, a good-natured office clerk, ends up having a one-night stand with a stranger, but lo and behold, that one night changes their lives forever!
2. "The Business Proposal": To avoid being set up by his grandfather on multiple blind dates, Kang Tae Moo in "The Business Proposal" ends up forcing himself to get engaged to a totally random stranger!
3. "Marriage Contract": A single mother struggling to make ends meet, a wealthy heir who has tense relationships with his family. After learning that his mother has liver disease and needs a liver transplant in order to prolong her life, Jihoon becomes desperate and ends up making a deal with single mother, Hye-Soo.
4. "The King 2 Hearts": Forced to be married in order to make political gains, Prince Jae-Ha and Kim Hang-Ah come from opposite sides of Korea but come together in order to bring peace to the country!
5. "Marriage not Dating": Pressured into marriage, though he doesn't wish to, Kong Ki Tae ends up trying to avoid the pressures of family marriage by dating a woman who doesn't really meet the standards of his family.
6. "Marry Me, Mary": Put into a sticky situation where Mary's father devises a plan to have her marry a man to pay off the debt that he has accrued. Mary takes her marriage into her own hands as she fakes being engaged to a new friend she just met!
Weddings are stressful as it is, but add onto that a marriage you didn't even want, and well, there's bound to be many twists and turns!
This article made me realize I never watch dramas about marriage... The only drama I can think of is Goong.
