Goo Hye Sun said she has recently gained weight due to emotional distress. 

On September 30th, Goo Hye Sun attended the 'Chunsa Film Art Awards 2022' as a director. But after the event, Goo Hye Sun updated her Instagram explaining her recent weight gain. In a caption, she wrote, "I gained a little weight because I was going through some things...! I'll come to '2022 Busan International Film Festival' recovered. See you at the '2022 Busan International Film Festival'."

Netizens speculated it may be due to the recent loss of her pet dog Gamja. Previously on September 14th, she shared the tragic news that her pet dog has passed about a month ago. 

Meanwhile, Goo Hye Sun will be attending the '2022 Busan International Film Festival' on October 5th and 6th.
