The identity of the former male contestant on Mnet's 'Produce 101' season 2, who was sentenced to probation for threatening his ex-girlfriend with a weapon, has been revealed. 

Media outlet New Daily reported on the 19th that "Nam Yoon Seong, a member of the group Noir, has been legally punished for assaulting his ex-girlfriend."

According to the media outlet, Nam Yoon Seong allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's house and threatened her with a weapon, and demanded that their relationship continue. After, he allegedly strangled his ex-girlfriend when she continued to refuse his request.

Later, when a neighbor heard the ex-girlfriend's screams and rang the doorbell, Nam Yoon Seong even threatened her not to tell the truth to the neighbor.

On August 19, Nam Yoon Seong was charged and found guilty of breaking into the home of 'B,' inflicting bodily harm, and threatening with the use of a weapon, has been sentenced to 1 year in prison if he commits the same crime within a probationary period of 2 years. Nam Yoon Seong will also be under protective supervision for one year and must complete 80 hours of community service.

Meanwhile, Nam Yoon Seong was born in 1996 and debuted as a member of the boy group Noir in 2018. He is the lead vocalist and lead rapper in the group, gained popularity with his visuals and dance skills, and is currently working as an actor.

In the past, he participated in 'Produce 101 Season 2' as a member of I-One Entertainment and rose from Class F to Class C, raising expectations, but dropped out of the program due to health reasons.

So far, Nam Yoon Seong has not made any statement regarding the incident.
