95 years old veteran MC Song Hae hospitalized due to health issues

Song Hae, long-time MC of KBS variety program 'National Singing Contest,' was hospitalized due to non-fatal health issues. 

According to media reports on May 16th, Song Hae was hospitalized on May 15th due to health issues. Fortunately, it was reported he is not in a critical condition.   

Previously in January, he has been hospitalized due to health issues. He also contracted COVID-19 but he fully recovered last month. 

Meanwhile, Song Hae became the oldest active broadcasting MC having turned 95 years old this past April. He has been the host of the 'National Singing Contest' since 1984.

Song Hae is a national treasure in Korea. He is one of those people who nobody wants to see, retire, and yet, he probably should. One of the coolest things I saw, was a few years ago, when he was on a show where his fellow members all got together and provided a wedding for him and his long time "wife". They never had a real wedding only a civil one, and so, the fellow members arranged for a complete wedding for Song Hae. His wife died soon after that, so it was a great memory for him. I think the whole nation cried during that wedding when it was broadcast on TV! It is still out there on Youtube. We need people like Song Hae so I sincerely pray for his recovery.
