The production presentation for the upcoming SBS drama 'Now, We're Breaking Up' will be pre-recorded because male lead actor Jang Ki Yong will be enlisting in the mandatory military service.
The production team of the SBS drama explained on August 11, "The male lead actor, Jang Ki Yong, will be enlisting in the mandatory military service this month so we have decided to pre-record the production presentation."
An official of the drama explained, "Since this drama is a sentimental melodrama genre, we decided that it is more important to show the relationship and the harmony between the lead actors. Therefore, we decided that we will be pre-recording rather than doing the production presentation without Jang Ki Yong."
Usually, the drama production presentations are held on the day of the first broadcast. However, all the cast members chose to pre-record the presentation to sit down together to discuss the drama earlier due to Jang Ki Yong's sudden enlistment coming on the 23rd of this month.
It has been reported that director Lee Gil Bok, Song Hye Kyo, Jang Ki Yong, Choi Hee Seo, Kim Hoo Heon, Park Hyo Joo, and Yoon NamWoo will be attending the production presentation for 'Now, We Are Breaking Up.'
The new Friday-Saturday drama, 'Now, We're Breaking Up,' is scheduled to premiere in November. The drama will depict the bittersweetness of a breakup and the story of love. This drama will mark Song Hye Kyo's comeback, and this will be the last work Jang Ki Yong will be part of before enlisting.
curse you military. he has so much potential to become the one of the best actors in korea but him going to the military could have more other actors arise and him not being able to grab that shine again.
