BTS’s Jimin showcased his popularity as he sold out an exclusive item in a few seconds.
Recently, the e-commerce company Tokopedia launched a series of exclusive and limited edition items. Among them are the boy group members' photocards.
On August 28th at around 5 pm KST, Tokopedia's official Twitter account announced that BTS's Jimin's special photocard sold out in a few seconds after the release.
Tokopedia, one of the biggest technology companies in Southeast Asia, is an Indonesian company that BTS is endorsing as a brand ambassador. It is known for its online marketplace for consumers and suppliers. BTS and Tokopedia are celebrating the anniversary of their partnership which started in July 2020. The brand rolled out an event so buyers of products for a specified period would be eligible to receive photo cards of the BTS members.
Jimin is dubbed as the "Song Out King" who is able to sell out any product regardless of the price in record time. Earlier this month, Jimin sold out a white shirt with the print "Lover." It became so popular right after Weverse shared BTS' "Butter" album release interview photos that not only the white but also its black color had sold out on the official website.
On the 20th, Jimin broke his own record as he topped the brand reputation ranking for boy group members for 32 months in a row (32 months overall). The brand study analyses the consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness data on the figures.
