Rookie girl group MAKA`MAKA has finally announced their long-awaited first comeback after 1 year!
MAKAMAKA’s agency BlueMoon Entertainment announced on July 23rd that the group would come back with a remake of Chakra’s ‘Hey U’ and they said that the song will “cool down the hot summer.” The song will be released on August 12.
The main staff from SANGMIND Entertainment came together for the first time in over 21 years to help MAKAMAKA with their comeback. Lee Sangmin, who was a part of the co-ed group ROORA and produced for many 1st generation artists including Chakra, was the main producer for MAKAMAKA’s comeback.
Visual art director Ikama also helped with the artwork/concept for this comeback. He worked on MAKAMAKA’s logo as well and is expected to help show off the member's charms.
MAKAMAKA is a 5 member girl group whose name means ‘close friend’ in Hawaiian who debuted with the song ‘Burning Power’ in August 2020. The members are Heesu, Dia, Chaewon, Daseul, and EunB.
I hope Sangmin will manage to get girls some gig in one or another variety show... then it will be much easier for them to promote.
