Many artists, big and small, have started to release their highly anticipated comebacks this year! Here are my favorite ones of 2021 so far:

5. TRI.BE - RUB-A-DUM

TRI.BE, a rookie girl group with members from various countries, released their debut song DOOM DOOM TA on February 17, 2021. They had a quick comeback with RUB-A-DUM on May 18, 2021, with only 3 months between debut and first comeback. The song features an addictive rap from Hyunbin as well as an equally addictive flute melody playing throughout the dancehall track.

4. (G)I-DLE - HWAA

(G)I-DLE released their 4th mini-album, I Burn, earlier in January 2021. (G)I-DLE is very talented, especially with Soyeon, Minnie, and Yuqi participating in composing at least one song each on the new mini-album, with Soyeon participating in writing all songs. HWAA was a very dark and different song from what other 4th generation girl groups have released so far. 

3. Kim Sung Kyu - HUSH

Sunggyu, also known as Kim Sung Kyu, is the leader of the boy group INFINITE. He released his single album Won't Forget You as sort of a 'goodbye single' because he left Woollim Entertainment after terminating his contract. However, he's still a member of INFINITE despite leaving the company. The emotional ballad title track HUSH showed off his unique voice.

2. BTS - Butter

BTS is no stranger to the industry. They're the biggest K-pop group at the moment and debuted in 2013. They have had their ups and downs. Butter, their 2nd English single, is certainly an up in their career. We thought Dynamite was huge, but Butter broke many of Dynamite's records both in Korea and internationally. They have achieved some feats that even western celebrities haven't done yet with their amazing groovy track Butter!

1. LUNARSOLAR - DADADA

LUNARSOLAR is a female vocal-based rookie quartet who made their debut in late 2020 with OH YA YA YA. They had a comeback after about 7 months with DADADA from their 2nd single album SOLAR : rise, on April 7th. This comeback proved their growing success. LUNARSOLAR entered the Gaon Download chart for the first time since their debut, reached top 10 on Bugs with a peak of #9, entered the MelOn Latest 24Hits chart, and the group even showed international success by entering the Top 5 of iTunes Top Albums charts in various countries and even reaching #1 in Colombia with SOLAR : rise. They have also signed a contract with Japanese label Teichiku Entertainment and are planning to debut in Japan soon! It's exciting, and many people are anticipating how much they will grow in the future. The song is an addictive deep-house genre track with major and minor intersects which talks about how you should show a confident side and love yourself.
