Jimin gained more respect and admiration from fans after leaving them teary as he confessed about what he had endured during his trainee days.

On March 24, BTS appeared on TVN’s variety show “You Quiz on the Block.” The special episode was filmed at Korean Furniture Museum in Seongbuk-dong and aired for 100 minutes hosted by MC Yoo Jae-seok and Cho Se-ho. BTS members talked about many things including their current success, worries, and thoughts on the future.

In one segment, the members were specifically asked by Yoo Jae-seok to talk about the most uncomfortable thing they have experienced during the trainee period. Member, main dancer, and lead vocalist Park Jimin poured his heart out in telling everything he had felt back then.

According to Jimin, the most difficult part was that he came late as a trainee. Jimin said “It was most difficult not knowing what I needed to do (to stay a trainee). While Taehyung or Jungkook was taking vocal lessons, I would ask “Can I watch?” and practice those skills in the early morning by myself”

Jimin admitted that he would work late until 4 AM and then wake at 6:30 AM. Despite such short rest periods, Jimin said it wasn’t tiring back then. However, he would call his father once a month to set his expectations about not possibly getting into the group. Nonetheless, Jimin remained positive that he could still find success somewhere else if he won’t succeed as a trainee.

Jimin further described how he would just sleep in the practice room and so the members had him think that he kept wanting to practice, to persevere, and to get into the group. Nevertheless, Jimin received so much help and encouragement from the members.

Jimin broke so many hearts as he continues to tell his story especially when he said that he cried in front of his parents when he felt lonely because he didn’t have any friends and people weren’t seeing him rightly. Jimin declared, “I hoped there would be friends I could have such conversations with. Why isn’t there a person that will ask me about myself first? Not as an artist or celebrity, but what are you like? I live with such question marks.” But then Jimin remembered that he has the members and they are his friends.

The fans took it to Twitter to express their admiration and utmost respect for Jimin after hearing how hard it was during his trainee days.

Jimin never failed to communicate with his fans during and after the airing of the show. On Weverse, he informed the fans that he is also watching the live broadcast of You Quiz on the Block. Jimin has confessed that he is a fan of this show too. Immediately after the show, he again posted on Weverse expressing the fun he had filming it and that he misses his fans so much.

As such, Jimin trended on Twitter Worldwide as fans acknowledged his message and posted messages of love and support for Jimin.  Jimin had more than 25 trends in more than 15 countries with 10 keywords such as Park Jimin, Jiminie, Jimins, Mimi, #지민아사랑해, 오리모자, 미니자기, 우리 지민, 자기님 목걸이 and جيمين..   Jimin also trended on Japan's Twipple Real-time celebrity ranking. 

In South Korea, Jimin trended with 5 keywords such as #지민아사랑해 (Jimin, I love you), 미니자기 (mini jagi), 오리모자 (duck hat), 우리 지민 (Our Jimin) and 자기님 목걸이 (jagi-nim necklace). South Korea showed how proud they are of their national treasure and #1 Idol, Park Jimin.

Finally, Jimin’s You Quiz on the Block video where he sang all the choruses trended #1 on Naver TV.
