Kim Hyun Joong spoke up about the controversy with this girlfriend, which lead to a six-year lawsuit.

On January 4th, the new episode of KBS Joy's 'Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller' aired. On this day, Kim Hyun Joong was on television for the first time in three years and looked nervous.

He started to confess his worries by saying, "I'm worried about what people think of me, so I'm actually a bright person, but I became downcast."

He also explained the reasons he became downcast and also reclusive. Kim Hyun Joong continued to say, "I understand that I did wrong, but every night, I have nightmares. When I'm in front of my family, I more bright and open. But in front of strangers, I am always alert, worried that they might criticize me. I couldn't bring myself to contact my acquaintances in the entertainment industry because I thought that my presence in itself would harm others. They would gain nothing from being friendly with me."

Kim Hyun Joong also talked about the time he rescued someone at a restaurant in Jeju island. He explained he left the scene right away after helping with the rescue, but soon there were endless phone calls that he received. Kim Hyun Joong began explaining, "I developed a panic disorder because of the endless calls."

He continued, "So I turned off my phone and fell asleep. Then the next day, I saw my name on the real-time search ranking, but I couldn't even click on my name because I was so anxious."

Seo Jang Hoon advised him, "you need to empty your heart and learn to be satisfied with yourself by doing the things you like. There is no cure. You need to think it's something you have to live with."

Kim Hyun Joong then nodded and said, "That's right. I always lived with the objective to cure it. I didn't think that far. I never thought my pains are something I need to live with."
