Jungkook, RM, and Jin's subunit song 'Stay,' which Jungkook composed originally for his mixtape and just recently became the #1 Best-seller song of 2020 on Amazon, has achieved another remarkable milestone. The song has reached #1 on Billboard World Digital Song Sales, becomes the first B-side track from 'BE' album, and the first BTS sub-unit song to achieve this feat.
Jungkook's solo song 'My Time' and BTS' Japanese OST 'Your Eyes Tell,' both of which co-composed and co-wrote by Jungkook previously had also reached #1 on Billboard World Digital Song Sales. This results in Jungkook having three (3) #1's on Billboard World Digital Song Sales as a composer/songwriter, the first BTS member to achieve this feat.
Fun fact: Just like ‘Stay,’ ‘Your Eyes Tell’ was also originally intended for Jungkook’s mixtape but ended up in BTS Japanese album Map Of The Soul: The Journey because it was so good.
Jungkook truly proves his title as the "Achiever of the Firsts," even these 3 songs which he composed and wrote are the first ones from their respective categories to hit #1 on Billboard World Digital Song Sales:
'My Time': First BTS solo song to reach #1 on Billboard World Digital Song Sales.
'Your Eyes Tell': First BTS Japanese B-side to reach #1 on Billboard World Digital Song Sales.
'Stay': First BTS sub-unit song and ‘BE’ B-side track to reach #1 on Billboard World Digital Song Sales.
This remarkable feat truly proves Jungkook's credibility as a successful world-class composer/songwriter. Jungkook has shown time and time again his genius skills in music-making, whether as a producer for 'Love Is Not Over,' 'Magic Shop,' and 'Still With You' or as a composer/songwriter for 'My Time,' 'Your Eyes Tell,' 'Stay,' 'Run,' 'Autumn Leaves' among many others.
This isn’t the only achievement Jungkook has on Billboard World Digital Song Sales as the Golden Maknae extends his record as the longest-charting K-pop idol on the chart with ‘Euphoria’ charting its 46th week. ‘My Time’ ties with ‘Filter’ as the second longest charting K-pop solo song on the chart with 43 weeks.
ROCKSTAR JUNGKOOK, I love to see this <3
