Comedian Hong Yoon Hwa shared that she lost weight without the help of medicine or injections.
On May 5, Hong Yun Hwa drew attention for her noticeably slimmer appearance during her guest appearance on SBS Power FM’s 'Cultwo Show' broadcast. Host Kim Tae Gyun was surprised upon seeing her jawline and jokingly exclaimed, “You had a jawline this whole time?”
Laughing, Hong Yoon Hwa replied, “People watching today might think, ‘What do you mean she lost weight? She’s still not small.’ But I used to be the size of this table, seriously!” She went on to share, “I check my weight loss progress through 'Cultwo Show' articles. I've lost 18kg (39.6 lbs), actually, 18.2kg (40.1 lbs). It hasn’t even been two months since I started.”
When fellow guest Moon Se Yoon asked if she was following a specific diet, Hong Yoon Hwa explained, “I changed my mindset to ‘Let’s enjoy eating what I want, but do it well.’ I’ve been losing weight in a really healthy way with both diet and exercise.”
Addressing rumors that she might have received medical help with injections for her weight loss, she firmly denied it, saying, “Absolutely not. I’ve done this all through my own hard work.”
She revealed her ultimate goal: “I’m aiming to lose 40kg. I think I’ll feel so much healthier and more comfortable if I do.”
But she added with a laugh, “People get worried when I say I’m trying to lose 40kg, but even after that, I still won’t be in the ‘normal weight’ range. So, don’t worry too much!”
