This is based on my opinion. So I did some research and concluded that LANA the Russian girl actually has one of the hardest journey to kpop ever for a non-asian. The reasons are:
1. She did not have a company ready to welcome her when she first arrives in South Korea.
She started out as an 18-year-old fresh out of high school with nobody by her side in Korea. Every other non-asians, like EXP, Alex Reid, you name it, were already welcomed by their company into their sponsored housing along with their groupmates. She had to actually work part-time to pay the rent and start from scratch because at first, she came to Korea to study, not be a pop idol.
2.Her origin.
Her being from a small town in the furthest, the eastern part of Russia did not give her the same equal opportunities as a western European or an American whose countries had larger markets for music. Alex Reid for example had her career in music to fall back on when she returned to America. While if Lana were to return to her small town in Sakhalin, Russia, there is not much opportunity there.
3.Isolation.She confessed to feeling lonely in her newest song 'make it real'.
There are no family members, no groupmates, by her side while she was in Korea. She was always alone and it took her a long time to finally have Korean friends. And to top that, she needed to actually learn the language because she was a university student in Korea. Being in a foreign country without understanding the language, no friends, no family by your side is actually really hard. Personally, I have been in a foreign country, but with friends and I STILL find it hard.
Was I not so lonely?
Not even one person on my side
I call my grandmother and act like I'm stronger
It's alright GRANDMA I'm living well
We all know where some celebrities who confess to being lonely and receiving massive amounts of hate ended up and it is not pretty.
4.HATE. Her company did nothing.
Unlike Kaachi and EXP Edition, Lana's company did NOT stand by her to address the rumors.
Lana did not have her own producer willing to sit down in front of the camera and fight for her. I think she was not given an opportunity to sit down in front of the camera and address the rumors or comment on the hate comments to clarify the rumors. The hate she gets across twitter, insta, vk and other platforms was overwhelming and she has to face it alone with not even her company fighting for her against the backlash. Its a miracle this woman survived as long as she did.
5. It wasn't her choice to be solo.
Lana trained under the company who made her a soloist against her will. She even confessed to being shocked. As u guys can see, she isn't ready by the time she debuts, which leads to the hate.
6.Family.
In an interview with Arirang Radio, she said her family did not support her to go to Korea, let alone be an idol. In fact, they were completely against it. She had to get 4.0GPA in a Korean test first to even be allowed to go there. Alex, EXP, and Eddie have families that actually support them, which Lana doesn't have at the start. They did not even know that Lana was debuting as an idol until her live stage is out because she decided to not tell them.
7. She was dropped by a company before.
She did not debut just because she is white. In fact, her previous company actually canceled her debut after her being in it for more than a year. She actually has to transfer to another company and not give up.
8.Her Asiatic looks made people think she is Oli London.
She has an Asiatic look, which led many to hate on her more because they believe she did surgery to look Asian, when in fact her photos from her childhood shows otherwise. Not one person in the planet can prove she has plastic surgery. People that look Asiatic like Lana exists all over where she was from in Russia because she was born right above Japan.
9. People are blaming her because of the racism that an African girl, Feifei, face in Produce China.
As if Lana and Feifei weren't friends. Just go to twitter, u will see hate comments against her to this day. Feifei is a nice girl and I am pretty sure she is 100percent against the hate that Lana gets.
Lana and Feifei being friends:

As u can see her debut path isn't all rainbows and roses. She had to fail and even endure feelings of isolation, hate, and even skepticism from her family.
10.The worst part is she cannot even speak out about this.
EXP Edition, Kaachi, Alex Reid , all of them had people interviewing them, trying to get their perspective and give them opportunity to address the rumors. They were often be seen by reporters and Youtubers talking about the issues that they face. While Lana has next to nothing. No DKDKTV, no reporters like Vice or Channel4 that interview her to address her problems. The other non-asians have a lot of publicity on the media where they were given a voice. I do not know if it is because she was not fluent in English, but it is just sad how she had to stay quiet while dealing with hate comments every time she look at her social media, while the other non-asians ,like Kaachi, gets to be interviewed to address their rumors.
