NCT fans are appalled at SM Entertainment's alleged mistreatment of the members. Recently, after recording NCT Dream’s Inkigayo performance, member Renjun was seen running around outside in the rain without an umbrella, without a manager, and without his members. Several fans have pointed out that one of NCT's managers allegedly prioritized her own shelter from the rain above Renjun's as she was seen entering the vehicle while Renjun waited out in the rain for another vehicle.
This is not the first incident where Renjun has received poor treatment. In a Vlive with members Renjun, Chenle, and Jisung, Renjun began to talk about another NCT member, Win Win, who is currently promoting in China with NCT's China subunit, WayV. Win Win is also considered a member of NCT 127. A staff member quickly cut Renjun off, and the reprimand was loud enough that fans watching the broadcast could hear it. In the same broadcast, Renjun was told to change seats with another member so that he was no longer in the middle spot.
In another Vlive, Renjun enthusiastically spoke of his personal vacation. He excitedly showed pictures to fans and the other members with him. A staff member supposedly cut Renjun off again, saying "닥쳐" (dakchyeo) to him, which is a rude way of saying "shut up."
SM has lost hundreds of thousands of subscribers on their SMTOWN Youtube channel, but they have yet to release a statement regarding the recent controversies involving Renjun and the mismanagement of the company’s foreign artists. A live subscriber count shows that the channel is still losing subscriptions: https://socialblade.com/youtube/user/smtown/realtime
I don't get it, people watch the Vlives to see and hear the members so why are the staff members constantly stopping them from doing and saying things?
