ITZY won their first award this year. The 5-member rookie girl group from JYP Entertainment bagged the New Female Artist of the Year award in the recently held 2019 Brand of the Year Awards.
ITZY had one of the most successful debuts by a Kpop group hence considered by most as "monster rookies". They have amassed several achievements under their belt, setting and breaking records early in their career, some of which include:
- Most viewed debut music video in 24 hours by a Kpop group according to Billboard with 17.1M views
- Most number of music show wins for a Kpop girl group debut song (total of 9 wins)
- Fastest Kpop girl group to win on a music show (9 days from debut)
- Fastest Kpop girl group to win a Triple Crown
- Peaked at #2 in Billboard World Digital Songs Chart
- Peaked at #2 in Billboard YouTube Chart (highest for a debut song/MV)
Currently, ITZY's debut song "Dalla Dalla" holds the most number of digital points by a Kpop girl group in Gaon for the first half of 2019 with a total of 571M points and the only track by a Kpop girl group released this year that reached the 500M mark.
