It looks like Big Bang's reign in the entertainment industry is about to come to an end after 13 years.
From G-Dragon, T.O.P, Seungri, Daesung, it seems like each Big Bang member has been embroiled in controversy. GDand T.O.P have sparked controversy for smoking marijuana with G.D also accused of receiving celebrity privileges during military service.
Seungri turned Korea upside down with 'Burning Sun Gate', subsequently terminating his contract with YG Entertainment. This time, Daesung, is under suspicion of letting illegal businesses run in his 8-story building in Nohyeon-dong, Seoul after purchasing in for 31 billion won in 2017. On top of this, suspicions of drug distribution, prostitution, and tax evasion have been raised and thus repercussions are expected to be even more immense.
Police revealed Monday that they investigated Daesung's building previously but wasn't able to uncover any evidence but in April, four businesses from his building were caught illegally operating with one of the owners found to have hired a prostitute for his establishment. On top of this, the various businesses operating inside the building are apparently registered as "general restaurants" but operating the businesses like entertainment centers "clubs."
Gangnam Police in charge of the case have revealed that they're considering whether to investigate Daesung. Police are considering whether they will be able to apply charges against Daesung for aiding and abetting its illegal operations. The illegal entertainment business operations have been found, in part, to be true with the tax evasion charges expected to be investigated.
In a related development, the Seoul Regional Tax Office and Gangnam-gu office have reportedly launched an investigation into YG Entertainment for suspected tax evasion as well.
Well from what I know, those from Melody Hotel where BS was functioning weren't made even allegedly responsible for their tenant BS club allegedly illegal activities and they were day by day there. So by comparison the treatment that kmedia applies to DS is obviously biased against him, there is no objectivity considering that he was/is in the military service. This is witch hunt.
