The father of veteran singer Kim Gun Mo passes away

Kim Sung Dae, the father of veteran singer Kim Gun Mo, has passed away. 

According to Newsen, Kim Sung Dae passed away from an illness on May 19. He was 79 years old. His funeral is taking place at a hospital in Gangnam. The funeral procession is scheduled for May 22 at 9:30 am KST.

Meanwhile, Kim Sung Dae has made an appearance on SBS' 'My Ugly Duckling' with Kim Gun Mo in the past. According to the show producers, Kim Gun Mo will continue to appear on the show despite his loss.

Maybe his father's illness was the reason KGM's mom hasnt appeared on the show for weeks. The first week she was absent, i think the MCs mentioned she was sick. Maybe she was attending to her sick husband at the time.

as a fan of the show this is so sad. He never gets to see Gun mo got married too. we probably won't be seeing her mom in the the show anymore.
