As promised, Papa YG Yang Hyun Suk has returned with another lengthy "From YG" post to explain in detail fan questions about Black Pink!
Yang Hyun Suk first assured, "Black Pink's new music release is expected for mid-to-late March. It will be an EP with several new songs." He also added, "This will be Black Pink's first music release in about 9 months since the EP containing 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' last June, and upon listening to some of Black Pink's upcoming songs through Teddy, I remember that I gave a big sigh of relief as the songs were beyond my expectations. You can definitely look forward to it."
Yang Hyun Suk responded to questions regarding the other 3 Black Pink members' solo debuts with, "Rosé's solo debut will be shortly after Black Pink's comeback EP. We have finished selecting a song which best matches Rosé's vocals, and we are also preparing for Lisa and Jisoo's solos. My hope and goal is for Black Pink to make 2 comebacks, and also for Rosé, Lisa, and Jisoo to debut solo, in that order."
According to Yang Hyun Suk, Black Pink will be carrying out even more exciting promotions in the U.S.A soon like radio appearances, magazine interviews, and newspaper interviews, in addition to the schedules already announced. The YG head producer stressed that both the CEO of Universal Music, Lucian Grainge and CEO of Interscope Records, John Janick were very enthusiastic about Black Pink's success in North America.
Finally, Yang Hyun Suk shared, "I will return with news regarding new music from WINNER, iKON, and other label artists next Monday. Thank you."
Aye, Rose solo comeback.
