The first global unit of Chinese girl group SNH48, 7SENSES, made their Korean debut on the 12th of February with the release of the Korean version of 'Swan'. 'Swan' was produced by Shinsadong Tiger and the lyrics for the Korean version were written by EXID's LE.
The girl group already has some experience with the country. 7SENSES trained under a team of international profesionals and received additional training in Korea to learn about the Kpop idol system ahead of their Chinese debut in March, 2017. Their Korean training period was documented in reality show 'Seven Lucky Baby'.
In 2018, the group attended and performed at the Soribada Awards, even winning the 'Global Entertainer' award.
And now, the group will kick off their official debut promotion in Korea on the 27th with a scheduled performance on 'Show Champion'.
So I guess the reports of SNH48 wanting to be in the Korean industry was true after all. Still sucks that they had to backstab AKB48 (as much as I don't care for them, it was still shitty of them to break connection with the hand that fed them).
