Fan Chengcheng has been spotted in Seoul in the midst of the ongoing mystery surrounding his sister Fan Bingbing.

Top Chinese actress and 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' star Fan Bingbing hasn't been seen in public since July 1 and hasn't posted on social media since June 2. Since her public visit to a children's hospital this past July and a number of "likes" on social media on July 23, Fan Bingbing has vanished from the public eye, and there are numerous speculations behind her apparent disappearance. Fans and international news outlets are still questioning how one of China's highest paid and most famous stars could fall off the radar so completely.

Among the theories for her disappearance is an alleged conspiracy involving tax evasion through illegal film contracts called "ying yang contracts," which would get the actress in trouble with the Chinese government. There's ongoing speculation Fan Bingbing is under arrest, and the government is remaining hush hush about the matter. There have also been rumors of Fan Bingbing and her brother Fan Chengcheng being banned from traveling outside the country.

Despite the rumored travel ban, Fan Chengcheng was seen eating at a restaurant in Seoul on October 1. Some are alleging the government has been forcing him to travel overseas to dispel the travel ban rumors, but he also reportedly received idol training from an entertainment agency in South Korea earlier this year, which could explain his return as well.

However, Fan Chengcheng has stayed silent on his sister's apparent disappearance and whereabouts, and some international media sources are saying Chinese news outlets have been forbidden from reporting on Fan Bingbing's mysterious disappearance.
