The lawyer of Hara's ex-boyfriend, Choi, refuted the threat and blackmail accusations.
On October 4, Choi's legal representative Kwak Jun Ho told News1, "Choi didn't have any intentions to threaten her with the private videos."
Kwak stated, "Hara was the first one to suggest to film the videos. Choi was confused and asked her why but he agreed to do so because Hara wanted to. His phone was nearby so it was taken with that but Hara was the one who suggested it."
When asked then why Choi sent the videos to Hara, Kwak stated, "He simply wanted to send them to her since she took them. He didn't have any intentions to threaten her," and added, "People think Hara will be the only one harmed by the video when it gets revealed but Choi is not in a favorable position either. Why would he reveal it?"
Kwak continued, "The reason why Choi didn't mention the private videos was in consideration of his ex-girlfriend Hara. They've already crossed a river they can't return but he still does have the desires to come to a settlement with Hara. However, she needs to provide clarification on claims she made."
Earlier, Hara revealed to Dispatch that Choi has threatened to upload videos of his sexual relations with Hara.
