Svetlana, a Russian-born variety star who has famously made appearances on MBC's "Welcome, First Time in Korea?" and JTBC's "Abnormal Summit, will be making her idol debut.
She revealed that she was "a trainee preparing for [her] idol debut" on August 27 through an interview with Korean media outlet Sports Seoul, adding, "A plan to debut in either November or December has been set."
Later that day, Svetlana shared a screen capture of the article on her personal Instagram account, captioning the image, "You were surprised, right?"
Svetlana has appeared on a number of Korean variety shows and has gained attention for her fluent Korean skill and strong visuals. The television personality recently became even more popular when she was chosen to introduce Russia to Korean viewers during this year's FIFA World Cup.
