K-netizens are just as in love with the figure skating duo's achievements at the 'Pyeongchang Olympics', and are looking forward to their future skating careers. With the Olympics still under way, one netizen discovered a fun fact about Alex Gamelin that made others smile.
Both Min Yura and Alex Gamelin were born in the United States, and both underwent a change of citizenship to be able to compete as Korea's representatives for the Olympics. Gamelin, who passed his test to earn his Korean citizenship in July of last year, studied Korean for 2 years prior to the test, and memorized 4 full verses of Korea's national anthem.
However, during his citizenship test, he was only required to sing 30 seconds of the national anthem. The figure skater then stated in multiple interviews that he was sad he didn't get to sing all 4 verses of the national anthem like he memorized.
Netizens said, "Please let him sing all 4 verses of the 'Aegukga'! Kekeke", "I don't even know it til the 4th verse", "Let's sing until verse 4 together!", "Only 30 seconds kekekeke", "Gamelin, let's go to the noraebang (karaoke) together keke", "I want to hear it!", and more!
