During his interview for the ending of 'Just Between Lovers', he was asked about 2PM renewing with JYP Entertainment. He said, "All of us have to enlist, and we believe 2PM must last forever. On that, the 6 of us get along really well. Even if some members did not renew, we were talking about continuing to be 2PM. I don't think we'll have any difficulties for future promotions."

When asked why they renewed with JYP, he said, "More accurately, it's a re-renewal. 2PM are the first to re-renew a contract. We liked the idea of being the first. As we promoted for 10 years, JYP grew, and we saw how JYP was before its growth so we're comfortable with it. We are hyung-dongsaengs with the executive staff, and we've experienced everything together. We comfortably get annoyed at the CEO. We don't really get mad at J.Y. Park, but rather at CEO Jung Wook. We can easily talk about what we don't like, so it was easy to renew. More than anything, it was important to be with the other members."
On their teamwork, he said, "Strangely, we argue, but we never had it escalate above that. I think that's consideration for one another. Of course, we did fight in the past, but I don't really remember about that. I think everyone is considerate for one another. We're good at waiting for one another."
