1.
Kingdom Come - Red Velvet
With Red Velvet's newest release came the single, "Peek-A-Boo", but one of our favorite tracks on the album is actually "Kingdom Come". The sound is a more mature and developed RV and showcases each member's vocal range without stretching their abilities thin. We wish this song was a promoted single because it is composed excellently!
2.
Chaotic - LOONA (Odd Eye Circle)
Jinsoul, Choerry, and KimLip are LOONA Odd Eye Circle. Though "Chaotic" was not an official promotion, we love the R&B nature of the song that shows off the girls' melodious harmonization. We love the electronic instrumental chosen for this track!
3.
To Me - GOT7
Though "To Me" by GOT7 has a video, it still wasn't promoted like their other singles. What a shame, considering this is one of netizens' most revered GOT7 tracks! The chorus of "To Me" is lovely and all the members' voices effortlessly support one another's.
4.
JOA YO! - AOA
AOA's "JOA YO!" is a feel-good b-side off of their "Short Hair" mini-album. The song is slower than most peppy and sassy AOA songs and serves as a great contrast to their other releases. The song's vocal harmonies are on point and we love Seolhyun's cute English lines!
5.
Whiplash - NCT 127
"Long ass ride!" Every time we hear those lyrics we get excited! NCT 127's "Whiplash" is an urban take on a pop song that embodies the trendiness of a trappy instrumental and slick raps. Netizens joked that Taeyong's parents shouldn't hear "Whiplash" due to his provocative lyricism, but we're not complaining! "Whiplash" gets the dance floor moving in seconds!
6.
Chill - EXO
It seems like every song EXO releases as a single turns into an instant hit, but what about their other tracks? We hope you aren't sleeping on "Chill," because it's one of the songs we wished was promoted like KoKoBop! With great line distribution and vocal riffs, we see a ton of growth from what EXO was years prior.
7.
Ice Cream - f(x)
With a classic K-Pop bubblegum pop sound, f(x)'s "Ice Cream" earns a spot as one of the greatest b-side tracks released by the group. "Ice Cream" is referred to as an "underrated track" by many netizens all over the world and we totally agree! The song is a feel-good addition to any playlist.
8.
Crying - SISTAR
Bora, Hyorin, Dasom, and Soyu were examples of how vocals are intended to mesh together on K-Pop tracks and "Crying" was one of their best talent showcases. The song's dramatic build and ballad format proved incredible to listen to! The rap is well-timed and everything about the production of "Crying" is right.
9.
Dimple - BTS
Though BTS has a ton of songs that can be considered 'underrated' or a fantastic b-side, the group's most recent release "Love Yourself: Her" included the r&b pop track, "Dimple". The song's harmonies are catchy and easy to remember and we're shocked it doesn't receive more airplay! "Dimple" is a slept-on favorite from their latest release.
10.
Into You - KARD
KARD has proved that they're a force to be reckoned with in 2017. KARD's song "Into You" is a dramatic track that reminds us of a K-Drama OST! Though the tempo is slower than most K-Pop songs, we think that accentuates the song's dramatic build. We wonder what KARD has in store for 2018!
11.
Velvet - EXID Le
All we can say is: LE! "Velvet" by EXID's Le is a completely disregarded track by many netizens in the K-Pop fandom. Though she serves as primarily the group's rapper, she showcases her singing talents on "Velvet". With every song EXID puts out, Le has shown that she's a star on the rise!
12.
Lilili Yabbay - SEVENTEEN
Though SEVENTEEN's performance team did a mesmerizing performance for the video featured above, "Lilili Yabbay" never got any formal promotion. The video game-esque instrumental mixed with electric guitar meshes effortlessly with the member's vocals and dancing. SEVENTEEN always manages to hypnotize audiences with their unique dance moves.
13.
Pricked - WINNER (Mino & Taehyun)
"Pricked" by WINNER's Mino and Taehyun (former member) has a pretty instrumental, but what stands out more is the gorgeously intoxicating vocals. Mino's rough voice contrasts Taehyun's honey-sweet singing and creates a somewhat indie sound that isn't easily captured or seen in most K-Pop singles. WINNER does an excellent job creating simple, yet intricate tracks!
14.
Talk - Tiffany
Tiffany's "Talk" has 2000s pop sensibilities mixed with 2010's instrumental talent. Thus, "Talk" has earned a spot as a must-listen when it comes to b-side tracks. Though Tiffany's "I Just Wanna Dance" took much of the attention during her comeback, "Talk" is a calming song to listen to during this season! Tiffany's delicate and feminine vocals are hard to replicate!
15.
24/7 - TWICE
TWICE is known for their poppy and infectious singles, but "24/7" embodies an entirely different and more toned down sound. The lyrics of the track were written by Jihyo and Naeyeon while the song was produced by Daniel Caesar. The song is addictive to listen to and we can't get enough of Mina's voice!
