During his stay, he made his way towards Gwangjang Market, which is the first permanent market in Korea, opening in 1905 and a very popular tourist destination.

On November 18, netizens shared numerous photos and videos of the famous British celebrity chef taste-testing Korean street food in the marketplace. He tried out various foods including spicy rice cakes and live squirming octopus. He also tried Gwangjang Market's most famous food, which is dubbed the 'Drug Gimbap' because of its addictiveness.
He even uploaded a video of the octopus on his social media page, with the caption, "I think there's something moving in my tartare!!"
Gordon Ramsay visited Korea as he is endorsing Korea's 'Cass Fresh' beer. He filmed for a guest appearance on JTBC's 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' on November 18, and the special episode scheduled to air in early December.
