Going back to the fairest ladies of Korea, FIN.K.L, which stands for Fine Killing Liberty debuted in 1998 with members Ock Joo-Hyun, Sung Yuri, Lee Hyori, and Lee Jin. The four-member group sold over 2.2 million albums and won numerous music awards. Their unique songs revolved around R&B ballads and pop songs revolving love. Over time their music evolved from a cute and naive image to something more mature and powerful. FIN.K.L officially ended their legacy in 2005 but reunited for a concert in 2008 during a concert held by Lee Hyori.

Wonder Girls
Also known as "South Korea's Retro Queens," Wonder Girls made a name for themselves and JYP Entertainment worldwide. With their hit song 'Nobody' that caught the attention of millions, Wonder Girls became a greatly loved idol group. Despite problems they faced with members' departures, Wonder Girls still remained strong and continued to share their unique music. One of their last releases 'Why So Lonely' was appropriate as some K-pop fans feel a bit lonely after the girls breaking up.

S.E.S
If you haven't heard of S.E.S. – Sea (Bada), Eugene, Shoo –then you're unaware of one of the most important groups in K-pop history. Debuting in 1997 under the careful management of Lee Soo Man and SM Entertainment, the trio became an overnight sensation, captivating audiences with a deadly combination of sweet voices, pretty faces, and a charismatic stage presence. They are the mother of all modern K-pop girl groups.

Girls' Generation
The beauty queens of KPOP have always had a place in KPOP history worldwide. The group's popularity skyrocketed after "Gee" but continued to portray different aspects of the group through their music. Besides portraying their beauty and cute personalities, the group also managed to show a sense of fierceness as well as mystery through their different songs. In Japan, they became the first non-Japanese girl group to have three number one albums on the Japanese Oricon Albums Chart. They also have the highest album sales and most digital downloads of all girl girls in K-pop history.

MAMAMOO
The incredibly attractive ladies of MAMAMOO have received love and support since 2014 with their debut song "Mr. Ambiguous." Under Rainbow Bridge World (formerly WA Entertainment), this group is recognized for their retro, jazz, and R&B concepts as well as their strong vocals. For awhile MAMAMOO fans would tape the pink mustache logo onto a radish as the word 'moo' in Korean means radish. So MAMAMOO released their official lightstick that takes the shape of a radish. They're seriously so cute.

Black Pink
YG Entertainment's uniquely diverse girl group has been in the KPOP industry for a little over a year but they have gained so much fame in such a short amount of time. The high charting female group consists of four members: Jennie from New Zealand, Jisoo from Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do, Rose from Melbourne, and Lisa from Bangkok, Thailand. Despite being one of the youngest girl groups, Black Pink has won various music awards and during their pre-debut, Rose and Jisoo were featured in G-Dragon's "Without You" and Lee Hi and Lee Su-Hyun's "I'm Different."

TWICE
Another largely popular K-POP girl group, TWICE consists of nine members and rose to fame in 2016 with "Cheer Up" that quickly spread across the KPOP fandom. Their cute dance move from "Cheer Up" became something that almost all fans could recognize which threw them into their rise in popularity. TWICE consists of 3 Japanese members, 1 Taiwanese, and 5 Korean members. Although they've debuted just two years ago, they're already one of the highest selling K-pop girl groups of all-time.

SM's lovable group, Red Velvet, has experienced notable success and recognition right off the bat with their debut single "Happiness." Ever since then the group just continued to rise upward with various popular songs such as "Ice Cream Cake" and "Dumb Dumb." Their cute personalities and lovable dance moves are something that fills all fans with happiness.

f(x) from SM Entertainment is a group that is definitely recognized for their unique style of electropop based songs and are one of the few to be recognized internationally. They became the first artists in K-POP to perform at SXSW that takes place in Austin, Texas. Every fan knows about the loving and sweet relationship the f(x) members have with one another that can be seen in various videos and Instagram posts!

2NE1
The queens of KPOP from YG Entertainment has always held the hearts of BlackJacks throughout the world. Even during their hiatus years, 2NE1 has always received love and support during their other activities such as (former) maknae, Minzy's Millenium Dance Academy CL's solo, and Dara's modeling/acting career. When CL performed her solo during MAMA 2015 and had her bandmates appear as a surprise performance, INCLUDING Park Bom, BlackJacks lost it. To this date, it is still the most memorable moment. Although they are no longer a group, 2NE1 will forever be in our hearts.
