J-Heart supposedly enlisted in May last year, even going as far as to leave fans a heartfelt video message. However, fans are suspecting that he did not actually enlist. He has been heavily active on Instagram, which is prohibited during service if he is enlisted as an active-duty soldier. (He is, however, permitted to use electronics outside of work hours if he is enlisted as a public service worker). 

Furthermore, J-Heart has posted seclas with long hair (which is not allowed for all soldiers), and even showed up in a YouTuber's videos as her boyfriend. Fans also figured out he was possibly living with the 'girlfriend', as he was constantly posting selfies from her house.

When fans tried to ask what was going on through Instagram messages, his reaction was to delete all his previous posts.
