Trailing behind second place was SM Entertainment again as they missed out on Big Bang's G-Dragon. The professionals scrutinized his back story. However, he coincidentally discovered Wu-Tang Clan's music and became interested in rap music and decided to become a rapper instead.
Following this, G-Dragon went on to take hip-hop lessons at an academy where he was discovered by Yang Hyun Suk. After leaving SM in 2002, G-Dragon became a trainee under hip-hop based YG Entertainment. With that, he made his debut as the leader of Big Bang after six years.
Actor Park Bo Gum also was named on the list at number three as numerous agencies missed out on him. He had mentioned that his dream originally was to become a singer on KBS 2TV '1 Night and 2 Days'. The actor stated that he had previously sent demo tapes to big agencies such as SM, YG, and JYP Entertainment, however, received a call back from Blossom Entertainment first and the rest is history.
JYP Entertainment and former 2NE1 member CL took charge of 4th place. Having been a JYP trainee before debuting under YG Entertainment, CL practiced dancing alongside former Wonder Girls' Sun and SECRET's Hana. She had also spent her trainee days with 2PM and 2AM members.
Having been a huge fan of YG producer Teddy, CL sent a demo tape and actively participated in the YG audition. Finally, she went on to debut as 2NE1 once her training days were over.
