The actress has been accused of undergoing cosmetic surgery due to her change in appearance. Netizens were even more convinced that she has gone under the knife when she appeared on the April 11 episode of 'Video Star'. It's claimed that her jaw looks greatly different. On the show, Lee Tae Im also brought shock as she revealed that she only ate 3 spoons of rice per day for her diet. This led to concerns about her eating habits.

After the broadcast, the talk about Lee Tae Im's changed looks continued. In response, her label Management HENEM explained, "Since last year, she started to lose weight with strict self-care but many are showing concerns for her health so she plans to gain weight again."

As for the rumors of cosmetic surgery and eating disorder, the label said, "There was no time for her to get cosmetic surgery. She promoted continuously." Management HENEM emphasized, "The cosmetic surgery rumors are false. The weight loss is also not a result of an eating disorder. We think there's a misunderstanding because she was involved in a controversial incident in the past. She simply started going on a diet because she wanted to be pretty on the screen as an actress."
