On March 28, the singer quietly made his way to Yeoncheon County's 5th division in Gyeonggi Province to start training. On the same day, his close friend Roger Kim shared a photo of their last video call together. The star is spotted with short hair, making a 'V' sign to the camera. 

In the caption, Roger Kim wrote, "8 years of friendship!!! Do well in the military today!!! I'll always support you!!! Hyung will definitely visit you!! Fighting!!! You're the man!!! Couldn't be there with you at Seoul ?? Seeing you with shaved head makes me feel....."

Seo In Guk will be discharged from the military in December of 2018.
