Until last year, EDEN's name could only be found in the credits section from producing hit songs for idol groups like G-Friend and Boyfriend. He has now officially made his name known as a singer this time with his new song "I'm Still".
When he was young he had taken a liking to MP3 players and listened to music while even composing some himself and earning himself the nickname 'Earphones.' EDEN debuted as a producer with Double S 301 member Kim Hyung Jun's solo debut song as well as late actor Park Yong Ha's tribute song titled "Heaven". Afterwards, he went on to work with Source Music, home to G-Friend as well renting out space in Cube Entertainment to create BTOB's title song.
EDEN mentioned, "Source Music is like a real family to me. We still cheer each other on." He added, "Though I don't think much of popularity between friends, I feel good about sharing my work with friends as a way to thank them for making this possible."
As an "idol producer," EDEN stated "You have to draw out everything from the stage like concept, attire, not necessarily only focusing on the music. Even to the point where you have think about the marketing process, which can get a bit tedious at times, but it makes it all the more fun and enjoyable experience." He continued, "I would like to keep switching back and forth between a singer and songwriter. It can be a rigorous process. However, I like challenges."
Despite his busy schedule, EDEN always takes the time to listen to the 'Top 100' songs to know what's trending at the moment. He noted that "the most shocking Korean artist was Zico," and he "saw what G-Dragon had in him. They are both artists who are the current trendsetters of K-pop with an enormous amount of dedication and talent."
As for his future plans, EDEN said, "My plan is to release an eight-track mini album this year. I want others to experience how I consider music."
