Moon Hee Jun revealed the story of joining SM Entertainment through an audition.
On the December 15 edition of 'Singderella,' guests talked about the 1990s, and Moon Hee Jun grabbed people's attention by talking about being a great dancer back in the days.

He said,
"There was a freestyle dance battle among all high schools in Songpa district. I was the final winner." Moon Hee Jun used to be known as '
Songpa Yellow Pants' because he would always wear yellow pants at dance battles. The singer also talked about his audition process for SM Entertainment.
"Lee Soo Man personally saw me with his own eyes," Moon Hee Jun revealed. He showed Lee Soo Man songs he had written and showed him a dance and was accepted on the spot.
Moon Hee Jun explained, "Normally, they would send you a mail two weeks after the audition, but Lee Soo Man came up to me and whispered, 'Come starting tomorrow.'" Heechul stated, "If Moon Hee Jun didn't exist, there would be no SM." Kim Tae Woo added, "H.O.T was more like 'Moon Hee Jun and the kids.'"
