A contractor who had previously sued Junsu for fraud has been found guilty of making false accusations and was sentenced to pay a fine of 10,000,000 KRW (~$8,600 USD).
The sentencing was announced on November 14, reversing the verdict of the first trial, which had concluded that the contractor did not have any intention to make a false accusation. This round, the judge's verdict acknowledges the contractor's malicious intent to damage Junsu's reputation as well as avoid paying what he owes to the singer.

The court stated, "Bringing forth a false accusation in order to fulfill one's self-interest, and also to damage a celebrity's fame, is a grave crime. We believe that an entertainer has a right to protect his integrity and reputation...this type of malicious act that tries to abuse a celebrity's fame should be stopped in our society."
