On October 14, Lay wrote to his Weibo, "Everyone, thank you for your trouble. It's been a while since I've been to Chengdu, and I missed you all very much. Please pay attention to your safety. I'll make sure to work hard to sleep well from now on."
In the afternoon of October 11, Lay was preparing to head to Hokkaido, Japan for EXO's upcoming concert when he suddenly fainted right before boarding the plane.
